Yachting and Monaco have long been synonymous. The European city-state bordered entirely by France on its north, east, and west ends boasts just 2.38 miles of coastline along the French Riviera, officially giving it the shortest coastline of any country in the world. But the picturesque Principality sure does capitalize on its positioning. It's the well-known international hub for all things aquatic, but especially yachting and sailing. And the Yacht Club de Monaco is the de facto home base. Assouline pays tribute to it, and its influence, in this 192-page coffee table book with a textured, illustrated hardcover. Boasting more than 140 images and illustrations, it offers an inside look at the roughly 2,000-member organization, the Lord Foster-designed Club, and Monaco at large.
